• 1952 - The Inklings have dinner at C.S. Lewis's house, in the company of Dr. Firor of John Hopkins University. The evening was described by Tolkien as "like a glimpse of old times: quiet and rational (since Hugo was not asked)."
• 1968 - The third day of filming J.R.R. Tolkien for the documentary Tolkien in Oxford.
• 1988 - Author Lin Carter dies.
• 2008 - "C.S. Lewis, the Inklings, and the Call to Christian Community" conference, featuring Tom Shippey.
