Adalgrim Took was the son of Hildigrim Took and Rosa Baggins. He was the grandfather to Peregrin Took and Meriadoc Brandybuck. His wife's name is not known. Adalgrim had four daughters; Esmeralda being the youngest and Merry's mother. Adalgrim also had one son, Paladin, who was Pippin's father.
