Adalgrim Took was a Hobbit of the Shire.

History

Adalgrim was the only child of Hildigrim Took and Rosa Baggins. He had five children, four of them daughters. His youngest children were Paladin and Esmeralda, born in S.R. 1333 and S.R. 1336.[1]

Etymology

Adalgrim comes from the Germanic elements adal meaning "noble" and grim meaning "fierce" or "face".
