Alalminórë was a region in the centre of the island of Tol Eressëa, being its fairest realm. The city of Kortirion was situated in Alalminórë.[1]

Etymology

In Qenya Alalminórë is glossed "Land of Elms",[2] which the Gnomes also call Gar Lossion, or the "Place of Flowers".[1]

Inspiration

Christopher Tolkien identifies the Land of Elms as Warwickshire.[3]
