Almiel (Q, pron. [ˈalmi.el], stem Almield-) was the youngest of the three children of Meneldur and Almarian, born eleven years before her father became King of Númenor. Her elder brother was Anardil, who was to succeed his father as Tar-Aldarion. Almost nothing is known of her life.
Etymology
Almiel's name seems to mean "Daughter of Good Fortune" in Quenya (from the word alma, 'good fortune', and -iel, the feminine patronymic suffix).
