Amaranth Brandybuck was a hobbit of the Shire.
History
Amaranth was the second child of Gorbadoc Brandybuck and Mirabella Took.[1]
Etymology
"Amaranth" is a poetic name for a flower that does not fade, derived from Greek αμάραντος; it is also the name of a plant with purple or crimson flowers.[2]
