Andúril, a publication edited by John Martin, started out as an official Tolkien Society publication (January-November 1972 - 4 issues, numbered 0-3). The fanzine continued independently thereafter.

Issue page size changes from issue to issue (irregular). First three issues have subtitle: The bulletin of the Tolkien Society, while later issues have subtitle: Magazine of fantasy.
