Angerthas was a Sindarin term for Runic writing, said to have the literal meaning of 'long Rune-rows'. There were numerous variants, but the two principle forms were the Angerthas Daeron, used by the Elves to represent Sindarin, and the Angerthas Moria, the classical form used by the Dwarves.
