Aranel was an elf of Lothlorien.
History
A scout from Lothlorien, he and a small company were dispatched from Lorien in 3019 to investigate the activity of the orcs at the borders of their realms. He encountered a small company headed by Berethor of Gondor in the Eastemnet gullies and aided them against Saruman's Uruk Hai, as well as well as rescuing a company of royal guards from Rohan. Upon reaching the borders of the land, Aranel took his leave of the company, but noted they would reunite in the future.
