asëa is a Quenya word which also constitutes the first element of the plant name asëa aranion. The word means "beneficial, helpful, kindly"[1]
Etymology
The word derives from *athea, stem as- and ending -ea; the PQ form was athajâ root ATH "ease, comfort, heal".[2]
