Atanatar I (Q, pron. [aˈtanatar]; T.A. 480[1] – 748,[2] aged 268 years) was the tenth King of Gondor, ruling for 81 years, from Third Age 667 until his death.
History
He was the son of Turambar, the great conquerer of the Easterlings. Atanatar's reign, however, was uneventful, and he was succeeded by his son Siriondil.[2]
Etymology
Atanatar is Quenya for "Father of Men", a title given to the Atanatari of the First Age; from atan "Man" and atar "father".
