Banazîr is a Hobbitish name meaning "simple minded". It was sometimes shortened to Ban.

It was the first name of Ban Galpsi.[1]

[edit] Etymology

It comes from the Westron element ban(a) meaning "half" and zîr meaning "wise"

[edit] Translations
