For the Baranor who lived in the First Age see Baranor son of Baran.

Baranor was a man of Gondor in the Third Age. He was the father of Beregond, a hero of the seige of Minas Tirith, and seems to have also dwelt in that city.

His name is an ancient one, dating back to the House of Bëor in the First Age.
