The Battle of the Lammoth was a late-developed battle that was fought in the Lammoth. According to The Shibboleth of Fëanor, when Fingolfin and his host arrived in Middle-earth they fought this battle against the Orcs. During the conflict Argon, Fingolfin's youngest child, fell.
In the published Silmarillion this battle does not exist, as it was only mentioned late in Tolkien's life.
