A member of the Proudfoot family, Bodo married into the Baggins clan when he wed Linda Baggins. Linda was the youngest sister of Bilbo's father Bungo, and so, through his marriage, Bodo was Bilbo's uncle. Bodo and Linda had a son, Odo, and through him founded a branch of the Proudfoot family that stretched on for at least three generations.
