Boron (F.A. 315-408[1]) was the third head of the House of Bëor.
History
Boron was the son of Baran and grandson of Bëor the Old, and inherited the title of family head after his father's death in 380. He had two sons, Boromir and Belegor, the eldest of which inherited his title and also became the first Lord of Ladros.[1]

Etymology
Boron is a word in Old Noldorin and Ilkorin for "Steadfast, trusty man, faithful vassal".[2]
Other Versions of the Legendarium
In the The Grey Annals, created in the 1930s,[3] Bëor was followed by his sons Bregolas and Barahir. After publication of The Lord of the Rings a new genealogy for the House of Bëor was made in the 1950s and at that time four generations (Baran, Boron, Boromir, and Bregor) were inserted after Bëor, with Bregor the father of Bregolas and Barahir.[1]
