Brandir was a man of the House of Bëor.

History

Brandir was the elder child of Arachon and Bregil. His younger sister Beldis married Handir of Brethil and their child, known as Brandir the Lame, was named after his uncle.[1]

Etymology

The name Brandir is said to be a compound of brand + dîr.[2]
