The scene of Dernhelm confronting the "Dwimmerlaik" Witch-king on the Fell beast who is about to finish Théoden, the revelation that he is actually Éowyn, and the fulfillment of Glorfindel's prophecy, is a famous instance from the Battle of the Pelennor Fields.
