Celebrindal (S, pron. [keleˈbrindal]) was the surname, meaning 'silver-foot' (Sindarin celeb "silver" + tâl "foot") , of Turgon's daughter Idril, who became the mother of Eärendil the Mariner. She gained the name, apparently, because she walked barefoot wherever she went.[1]
