(See also King Cemendur of Gondor)
Cemendur (born Second Age 575) was the son of Axantur and a member of a minor branch of Númenórean royalty. He had two children, a daughter Írildë and a son Hallatan. Hallatan would later become the father of Hallacar, the husband of Tar-Ancalimë, the first Ruling Queen of Númenor.
Cemendur means "Servant of the Earth" in Quenya (from kemen = "earth (as in ambar)" and dur = "servant").
