Dark Land, also referred to as Southland was a mysterious continent far south-east of the landmass of Middle-earth was part. It laid in the East Sea.
No Elves or Dwarves lived there, but there could have been wild Men here. The Númenóreans possibly visited it on their long journeys, although it is not known if they established dwellings there.
The position of the Dark Land is reminiscent of the theoretical Lemuria. The Dark Land has no role in the legendarium and appears only in few early maps by [Tolkien]]
