Duinhir was the tall lord of the Blackroot Vale during the War of the Ring.
History
Like most of the Gondorian lords, he went to the support of Minas Tirith in the War of the Ring, taking with him five hundred archers, and also his sons Duilin and Derufin. He lost both his sons in the Battle of Pelennor Fields.
Etymology
Duinhir means "River-lord" in Sindarin.
