Egladil was the name given by the people of Lórien to their lands between the courses of the rivers Anduin and Celebrant.[1] These were the most populated parts of the country, where the tree-city of Caras Galadhon was to be found. The name is rendered into English as the "Angle" (a name not to be confused with the point between the rivers Hoarwell and Bruinen, far to the northwest of Lórien, which shared this name).
