Eldamar was the land of the Elves in Aman, a coastal region that extended to Alqualondë.
Etymology
Eldamar means "Elvenhome" in Quenya[1] (from elda = "High-elf" and már = "home").
Inspiration
The name is a direct translation of the mythological Elfhame (lit. "Elf-home") meaning "Elfland, Faery".
