Elfhild

Elfhild was the wife of King Théoden of Rohan, and mother to his son Théodred. We know almost nothing of Elfhild's life, except that she died in childbirth, leaving Théoden a widower and Théodred motherless. At the time of the War of the Ring, Rohan had been without a queen for forty years.
