Ephel

Ephel is a Sindarin noun which means "encircling fence"[1] or "outer fence".[2] It is a combination of et and pel.[2]
Examples:
- Ephel Brandir, "the encircling fence of Brandir";[1] often simply called the Ephel[3]
- Ephel Dúath, "Fence of Shadow";[1] more commonly known as the "Mountains of Shadow"[4]
