The name Hope refers to more than one character, item or concept. For a list of other meanings, see Hope (disambiguation).

Estel is the Sindarin word for "hope" or "trust".[1] It was a name of Aragorn, given to him when his mother Gilraen took him to Rivendell as a child.[2]
