"Tell me, who are you, alone, yourself and nameless?" - Tom Bombadil
This article describes a concept which is mentioned in J.R.R. Tolkien's works, but was never given a definite name.

Falathrin was the Sindarin dialect of the Falathrim (also used in Nargothrond[source?]), of which not much is known. It is told that the dialect "was in many ways different", but not enough "to interfere with intercourse".[1]
