First Shirriff

The First Shirriff of the Shire was the head of the Watch. The office was attached to the Mayoralty of Michel Delving.[1]

When Lotho Sackville-Baggins briefly seized control of the Shire during the War of the Ring he called himself the Chief Shirriff.[2]
