History

Upholding the Oath of Eorl, he rode to the aid of Gondor with his brother, and both were slain in battle of the Haradrim.[2] They were laid to rest where they fell, at the crossings of Poros. Their burial mound was called the Haudh in Gwanûr, the Mound of the Twins.[3]

Etymology

Folcred in Old English means "folk-rede, people-counsel".

Notes

  1. Under Fengel in Appendix A it states: "He was the third son and fourth child of Folcwine."
