Tolkien Gateway > Council > Enochian literature


Has anyone analyzed the influence of Enochian literature on Tolkein's cosmology? I'm thinking in particular of the 'good' and 'bad' angels coming down to earth, tempting men and leading to the Fall. Although this is apocrypa from a Catholic viewpoint it seems closer to Tolkein's version than does the canonical version in Genesis
