::The Men of Esgaroth are definitely related to the Rohirrim, the Esgarothians (my word) were related to the Northmen, from whom are descended the Rohirrim (U.mfinished Tales, "Cirion and Eorl").  The Esgarothians traded with dwarves.

Does any one know or have an idea if the lake men of esgaroth had traded or have had any contact with the men of gondor--Woodmen 21:15, 9 February 2009 (UTC)

It's nowhere mentioned. -- Ederchil (Talk/Contribs/Edits) 21:30, 9 February 2009 (UTC)
Wouldn't it most likely have been dwarves? Unsigned comment by Breragor (talk • contribs).
Seeing how surprised the Gondorians are to see an Elf and a Dwarf enter Minas Tirith, and Ingold's idea that anyone - Pippin, Easterlings - is a Dwarf based solely on stereotypical features (size, beard), I'd say no. -- Ederchil (Talk/Contribs/Edits) 08:16, 10 February 2009 (UTC)

If everyone is thought a dwarf, than I'd say "yes".

I would guess that they're most likely related to the people of Rohan, if anything.--Aragorn47 20:24, 14 February 2009 (UTC)
The Men of Esgaroth are definitely related to the Rohirrim, the Esgarothians (my word) were related to the Northmen, from whom are descended the Rohirrim (U.mfinished Tales, "Cirion and Eorl"). The Esgarothians traded with dwarves.
