Tolkien Gateway > Council > Missing Tooks

I think we should definitely have articles on Ferumbras Took I, Isengrim Took I, Isumbras Took II and Paladin Took I, Tooks that we know to exist because of existing II's and/or III's. We should probably include a not of some sort "The existence of this character was only deduced from the name of Isumbras III.... etc." but I have no idea how to call such a section. Any ideas? -- Ederchil (Talk/Contribs/Edits) 12:09, 12 December 2010 (UTC)

Suggestion (without knowing much about Hobbit genealogy):
'''Isengrim Took I''' was a Hobbit of the Shire, a member of the [[Took]] family. He was an ancestor of [[Isenbrim Took II]].<ref>The existence of this character is deduced from {{App|X}}</ref> --Morgan 12:24, 12 December 2010 (UTC)
Right. Only that it's not certain that the missing Tooks had descendants. Paladin I could have died childless and Paladin II could have been his a (granhd)nephew. Sage 12:37, 12 December 2010 (UTC)
I was going to say something less specific; "Isengrim was a Hobbit of the Took family before SR Whatever" and fill up the rest of the page with an etymology section. -- Ederchil (Talk/Contribs/Edits) 12:39, 12 December 2010 (UTC)
