| Guys, please take a look for [http://wiki.ontoworld.org/index.php/Semantic_MediaWiki this] MediaWiki extension. I actually didn't try it myself but it seems very helpful especially for encyclopedical wikis like TG. --[[User:Vardo|Vardo]] 08:53, 31 July 2006 (EDT)

| :It is definitely worth looking into though I still am having trouble seeing how much it can improve efficiency without adding complexity. Let's list examples in which the extension could be utilized as well as the Pros/Cons of installing such an extension. Thanks for bringing this up Vardo. --[[User:Hyarion|Hyarion]] 12:52, 31 July 2006 (EDT)

| I should read more on this and maybe install it on my local box to test it. I'll tell about my outcomes. My current vision (as far as I know about semantic systems and RDF) is that it should allow authors to set semantic relationships between things - for example, an author can additionally define that "Arathorn" is related to "Aragorn" as "father". Then, a user or any external agent is able to make queries like "who was the Aragorn's father?" and so on.

| | |
| Of course, I should investigate this extension in depth to provide all pros and cons to community.
