In the chapter 17 the battle that shows up, we are reading The Hobbit the cloud of bats which protect the goblins since they are sensitive to light. Im only 13 years old by the way.

working on something in school for the hobbit and i am wonder what the proper name for the cloud of bats that the goblins made so they could attack Rivendale

Goblins (and bats) do not attack Rivendale. Or Rivendell. --Ederchil (Talk/Contribs/Edits)
