Games Workshop is a British game production and retailing company, founded in 1975. One of its key products is the Lord of the Rings Strategy Battle Game, along with its more popular titles, Warhammer and Warhammer 40,000

History of Tolkienia

In 1985, Games Workshop introduced the MERP-system in the UK by publishing Middle-earth, The Role-playing Game set in J.R.R. Tolkien's World.

In 2001, Games Workshop introduced the Lord of the Rings Strategy Battle Game, a miniature game based on Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings.
