Gamwich was a village in the Shire.
The original home town of the Gamgee family and source of Hamfast Gamwich's chosen surname, the town was also known for its own rope-making.
Location
In The Atlas of Middle-earth, Karen Fonstad puts its location out near the borders of the Westfarthing, but this is only speculation.
