George Allen and Unwin 7 September 1937 is a letter from J.R.R. Tolkien to George Allen & Unwin, written on September 7, 1937.

Excerpt

"[Wilfred Rowland Childe is] specially interested in elves and related creatures. He was (once at any rate) a fairly well-known poet, and is still a good one; and is in close touch with various literary and journalistic sets & folk, in the North specially. He would probably do something, if he got a copy. He saw the [manuscript] and is well disposed"[1]
