Template:Noncanon Gilim was a giant of Eruman,[1] apparently noteworthy for his neck. Lúthien named him in her sleeping-spell.[2]
In Gnomish, one of Tolkien's early conceptions of an Elven language, Gilim is given the translaton "winter".[3]
