Gobel

gobel is a noun meaning "walled (fortified) settlement" in Sindarin. It is a combination of the collective prefix go- and pel, "encircle".

Examples:

• Amon Obel = "Hill of the Walled Settlement"
• Rhosgobel = "Brownhay"
• Tavrobel = Great Haywood
