Hador (Third Age 2245 – 2395, aged 150 years) was the seventh Ruling Steward of Gondor, who inherited the Stewardship from his father Túrin I, and in due course was succeeded by his son Barahir.
History
It was the fashion at this period of history for Gondor's Stewards to take their names from historical figures of the First Age, a fashion that would survive for four generations after Hador to his great-great-grandson Steward Boromir. Hador himself was named for the great hero Hador Lórindol, ancient Lord of Dor-lómin.
Little of note occurred during Hador's rule. On the three hundredth anniversary of the Stewards' Reckoning, the calendar introduced by his ancestor Mardil Voronwë, he added an extra day to the year to "fine-tune" the calendar's accuracy. Hador ruled during the time of the Watchful Peace, and so had no need to concern himself with matters of war, though his descendants would not be so fortunate.
Hador ruled Gondor for one hundred and seventeen years, and was succeeded by his son Barahir.
