Hans Jürgen Kürsch, better known as Hansi Kürsch (born August 10, 1966 in Lank-Latum, Germany) is a German musician, the lead vocalist and lyricist of power metal band Blind Guardian. Together with André Olbrich, he is also the principal songwriter for the band.

The band have been inspired by the fictional worlds of J.R.R. Tolkien, for example their 1990 song Lord of the Rings tells the story of Frodo. There were negotiations with the band to do soundtrack work for The Lord of the Rings: The Motion Picture Trilogy but this fell through. Most importantly, their 1998 album Nightfall in Middle-Earth is based on The Silmarillion.
