Hoarwell

Hoarwell was the name among Men for the river Mitheithel, that rose in the northern Misty Mountains and flowed southwestwards through the lands of the ancient kingdom of Rhudaur. It formed the main tributary for the River Greyflood.

Etymology

Hoar means "grey" and well in English placenames usually has the meaning of "spring, source"
