The House of Durin was the line of the descendants of Durin the Deathless, eldest of the seven Fathers of the Dwarves. The kingship of the line continued even when those with the title were in exile.[1]

- ↑ Náin I was also killed by Durin's Bane.
- ↑ Thráin I founded the kingdom of Erebor in 1999.
- ↑ Thorin I removed to the Grey Mountains in 2210.
- ↑ Dáin I was slain by a great cold-drake.
- ↑ Thrór was forced out of Erebor by Smaug; later he was murdered by Azog the Orc.
- ↑ Frór was slain along side of his father.

Additional Note
Of the other companions of Thorin Oakenshield in the quest of Erebor, Ori, Nori, and Dori were also of the House of Durin, but were more remote kinsman. Bifur, Bofur, and Bombur were descended from Dwarves of Khazad-dûm but not of Durin's line.[1]
