The House of the Mole was one of the primary houses of Gondolin, whose first chief was Maeglin. They bore black armor, without any emblem or design, but their round caps of steel were covered with moleskin. They carried two-handed axes. After Maeglin's death in the Fall they turned on Tuor, but all fell, so far is known, in the Fall of Gondolin.
