Hyarmendacil II (T.A. 1391[1] - T.A. 1621[2]), born Vinyarion, was the twenty-fourth King of Gondor.

History

Vinyarion's father Aldamir was slain in a war with the Haradrim, and he ascended the throne. He led Gondor's armies against Harad to avenge the death of his father.[1] In T.A. 1551 he won a great victory over the Haradrim[3] and took the name Hyarmendacil II to commemorate this achievement.[1]
