Hyarmendacil II, born Vinyarion, was the twenty-fourth King of Gondor. He was the son of King Aldamir and reigned from Third Age 1540 to 1621.
Vinyarion led Gondor's armies to avenge the death of his father, slain in a war with the Haradrim. In 1551 he won a great victory of the Haradrim and took the name Hyarmendacil II (Quenya: "South-victor"; after his ancestor Hyarmendacil I) to commemorate this achievement.
He was succeeded by his son Minardil in 1621.
