IMDbProfile

Sir Ian Holm Cuthbert (born 1931) voiced Frodo Baggins in the BBC radio adaption of The Lord of the Rings. Years later he played Bilbo Baggins in Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings; he appeared in the first and third installments of the series.

It is a well-known fact in the film world that Ian Holm completely changes his performance with each re-take.

Ian Holm is the father of Harry Holm, who played Elanor Fairbairns in the 1981 radio series.
