This is an attempt to list all the published writings of J.R.R. Tolkien (hereafter, JRRT) in books, journals, newspapers, etc., in chronological order.[1] For a list of his major books, see the bibliography section on the JRRT page.
- Note 1: For ease of reference (and because many items do not have an exact date of publication), works are sorted alphabetically for each year.
- Note 2: The list does not (in general) include reprints.
