Should these poems be included:

I don't see any reason why not :) Good catch! --Hyarion 12:52, 17 November 2007 (EST)

Poems within the legendarium

It is stated on the page that the category "does not include poems published within Tolkien's legendarium." But how do we categorize these? --Morgan 08:46, 25 May 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Poems in The Hobbit and Poems in The Lord of the Rings, mainly. --Mith (Talk/Contribs/Edits) 20:11, 20 January 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Structure of list

I'm thinking of doing some tweaks on this list:

  • Move the year of composition to before the title (for example: *[[19XX]] Title of poem)
  • Implement a chronology based on year of composition (which is stated in the introduction, but not used throughout the article)
  • Use "..." or '...' for titles of poems (seems to be standard on TG), and cursive for titles of publications.

Would this be okey for everyone? --Morgan 17:57, 20 January 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

  1. Yes.
  2. I'm not enthusiastic: people tend to search for stuff by year of publication and not year of writing. What about poems written over several years?
  3. Italics: yes. I don't understand the purpose of "...". --Mith (Talk/Contribs/Edits) 20:11, 20 January 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
